Lidovky.cz: President Petr Pavel soon supported the legalization of euthanasia. Do you agree with him?
I don’t agree. According to me, euthanasia is a dangerous darkness that we should not mess with. Once we let this genie out of the bottle, we can never get it back. At first, it is expected that this will only be for patients in the terminal stage of the disease, but later this group of people will start to grow. This is exactly what happened in the Netherlands.

In the twenty years since euthanasia has been performed there, the border has shifted from the death of sick people to assisted suicide by people who cannot find the meaning of life. Not long ago, it was said there that even people tired of life should have an angel for a good death. Moreover, the number of people who choose this method of death is constantly growing. And no one dwells on it.
