It’s end. The basketball players of BK Redstone Olomouc could not extend their season. Even in the last quarter-final match against Nymburk, they showed a sympathetic performance in a pared-down lineup, but it was only enough for a defeat in the ratio of 72:107. They lost the entire series 0:4 per match and took the final eighth place in the Kooperativa NBL.

“We failed to build on the first two games. The opponent prepared for our zone defense and ran us in the intermission. It was very challenging for us, the fatigue was increasing and the last result corresponds to that,” said the disappointed Olomouc captain Lukáš Feštr after the match.
The Han people kept pace with the Nymburk favorite only in the first few minutes. Then, however, the favorites went all out and even in the first quarter created a lead of up to twelve points. Hipsher’s men were able to wipe it out from the entire half, but after a while, another storm of points rushed to their basket and the twelve were back in the world – 19:31 after the first ten minutes.
From the second quarter on, it was already one big scoring storm. The bravely fighting Han people tried to resist with all their might, but unfortunately for them, they didn’t have much left. After halftime, the score was 37:54, and even the biggest Olomouc optimists were beginning to understand that the end was inevitably approaching.
The second half was basically played out of obligation. The Central Bohemians, led especially by the Czech trio of Sehnal, Kovář and Kříž, who together scored 46 points, were already having fun with the game, hitting more and more baskets and dangerously fast approaching the 100 mark again. After the third quarter, they were only ten points away from this magical boundary – 56:90.
The last ten-minute game, which was actually just a formality, ended with the most balanced result of 16:17. The team from Olomouc beat their score from yesterday by at least two points, but collected five points more. The final result of the match was 72:107 and the final state of the series was 0:4.

“A total defeat of 0:4 per game is very difficult, but we have to accept it. We finally managed to advance to the play-offs, which we must be clearly satisfied with,” added Lukáš Feštr at the end.
