According to Brožová, this is an intentional crime. “It was a crude way of killing the animal,” specified the prosecutor.

The incident happened in Pařížská street around two o’clock in the morning. The accused foreigner was visiting her friend there at the time. While drinking alcohol together, the women apparently had an argument, and the Moldovan threw a Prague rat on the ground when leaving the apartment. The dog was dead at the scene.

The policemen who were called then measured over 2.6 parts per million of alcohol in the woman’s breath. Because she herself had a slight head injury, paramedics also arrived at the scene.

“The patient was aggressive, uncooperative. Accompanied by the police, we took her to the Pilsen University Hospital for treatment,” said Mária Svobodová from the regional ambulance. Subsequently, the Moldovan woman ended up in a cell, from where the police later released her.

She took care of the dog

After an autopsy, veterinarians determined the cause of the animal’s death to be a spinal cord injury. The dog was registered, chipped and well fed. Witnesses confirmed that the owner was taking care of him.

According to her, she does not remember too many details from the fateful night.
