The police intervened in one of the secondary schools in the Tachovsk region on Tuesday after noon, they were alerted by a report that someone was threatening to kill two people there.

“After one o’clock today, we received a report that a young man threatened two people with a knife at one of the Tachov schools. We immediately went to the scene and arrested the man shortly after the notification. No one was injured,” she posted on the X social network shortly after the police intervention.

She later reported that the detainee was a 21-year-old student of this school who threatened to kill two people close to one of his classmates. “Fortunately, it was not confirmed that there was a knife or any other weapon at the scene. The police arrested the man and placed him in a police cell,” said police spokeswoman Michaela Raindlová. The police have also initiated criminal proceedings on suspicion of disorderly conduct and dangerous threats.

According to Deník’s findings, it was not a school directly in Tachov, but a secondary school located in nearby Bor. The editors have not yet been able to contact his management. The mayor of the city told Deník after 2 p.m. that he had no information about the incident.
