The structure has a total of 20 panels and they contain information from history, from the first draft from the end of the 19th century, to the future, which is metro automation. Visitors will see the individual stages, how the stations were built, they will remember how Prague was excavated, when subway B was built, and so on. All these details, such as the cars and trains that have been in the subway for the past 50 years, said the head of the DPP Historic Vehicles Unit, Petr Malk.

In addition to the history related to the construction of the subway, the panel of visitors will also learn information from 2002, when a catastrophic flood damaged 18 stations. On the panels there are also fillings and glimpses of the future of the metro, when DPP is now building line D from Pankrec to Psnice.

The company worked on the installation for about a year. According to Malek, the unique and previously unpublished picture could not be found, but according to him, it was created from an interesting collection from the archive not only of DPP, but also of the companies Metrostav and Metroprojekt Praha, with which he worked, or from TK.

It was possible to connect this, we made two articles only from the DPP archive, now it has been enriched with these, said Malk.

Entrance to the museum complex is free of charge, and there is a charge for those entering the train station. People will be able to see it from May 5 in metro station C Kaerova, and then it will be at Chodov, Jungmannov nmst.

The construction is not the only event prepared for the summer. From today, public transport fans and families with children can play the Geolokan game Metro 50, which takes the game through the 61 current stations of the Prague metro.

The 50th year since the beginning of metro operation is a very important event for us. We are going to hold a whole series of events that I would like to invite our passengers to, including the open day at the Kaerov depot on Saturday, May 4, or the historic train rides on line C on the centenary, May 8, from 9:19 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., which they will be driving, said Petr Witowski, chairman of the board and editor-in-chief of DPP.

The transport company has had documentaries filmed about all these lines, which will be broadcast on Czech television starting in May, with the funny actor and architect David Vvra.

The transport company will also prepare a reprint of the original issue of Veernk Praha for the start of the metro service in Prague and a special issue of the Metro daily.
