It’s really great to perform in an amphitheater like yours. You read as if you were introduced to some big theater. The city is very different from the others where festivals are held. It’s great that you can see basically the same thing on stage in every city.

You also play in other cities in the Czech Republic. Do you come here rdi?
the Czech Republic is a country that is a great place for Serenity to perform. Rdi we are coming back. We have been here several times. In addition to Metalfest, we played at the Masters of Rock and Rock Castle festivals. There’s a great audience here. We met a lot of nice people here. We are always happy to include a meme here.

A few days ago, the band released a new album called Nemesis AD, which is dedicated to little Albrecht Drer. Why did you choose this personality?
It’s simple. My main profession is to study history at the University of Innsbruck. I am mainly interested in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. Albrecht Drer was one of the greatest artists of this time. Pedchoz’s album The Last Knight (Posledn ryt) was about Tsar Maximilian I. And he had worked for him. I can continue in the pbh that I started in the last board. Moreover, the oldest painting in Innsbruck, where I work, is by him. According to me, he started an artistic revolution. It was interesting to me that he became the first child to wear a monogram, today we would call it a logo. He reproduced the lights by the hundreds. He was a marketing genius.

How did you choose the psn?
Each of them is named after one of Drer’s works. So when you Google the names Fall of Men or Soldiers Under the Cross, his paintings or engravings come up. We thus brought paintings to life through music.

Actors of other Serenity albums are, for example, Richard the Lionheart, Leonardo da Vinci or the Tudors. So are you struggling in creating a djinn line?
Music and history are my life experiences. The best I can do is combine them. That’s what I dream about. I am glad that I can connect the two professions.

The lyrics of your songs discuss the history of lifts and art. Which of these topics is closest to you?
Both are related. If you take thee Drer’s gun Ritter, Tod und Teufel, see there engraved in full armour, see woe and death. According to mk, this is all. On the one hand, it is an art, a source, because you can see how people in certain times confused about some darkness. It’s actually something like a photo from the old times. Thanks to this image, you can travel back five hundred years. On the other side, the author shows what the wolf means to him. There was always something like history about it, and that was in the 15th century or so. Nothing changed. The people did not use it.

But it still makes sense to constantly remember the past…
Yes. One thing that is important to me is to tell people about the races and what they can learn through them. It was a surprise to me that some of our fans told him after the release of the album that they had heard the name Albrecht Drer for the first time. For example, people from England, the USA, France or the Netherlands had no idea who he was. They wrote to us that our board should enter his name into Google and find out something about him. And they thanked us for learning something new.

I would say that the Czech Republic is quite aware of him. Probably also because the collection of the original of his painting Renco’s Feast is in Prague. Yes, that image It is an honor that the Czech Republic and Austria have a lot of history in common. Ferdinand I, Rudolph II. and dal csai reigned in both countries. It goes without saying that you want to change the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, in which echoes played a big role.

How about writing a book on Czech history?
Who knows, maybe we could arrange one of these sometime. The Hussite tows would weave you – Jan Hus or the general Jan Ika. Are you a student at university, are you a metal fan?
In a way, yes. When I go to the front desk, it happens to me that I see some students there in Serenity tricks. It’s free. I always tell them: You won’t get good grades just because of that. They say that it is clear to them, but that it is thick that I am in this band. I am at the university as a student with the Erasmus program. For example, one from France and the other from the Netherlands. And you chose Innsbruck to study because you know me from Serenity. They could have sent you to Vienna, but they chose our university because of metal. This is great for me and I know it.
