In the park in front of the fire station in Holoubkovská Street in the Prague 15 district, a unique exhibition is taking place to mark the 30th anniversary of Patnáctka. On it, people can view pictures from the history of Horní Měcholup and Hostivare. But modern history can also be seen. After all, the exhibition offers a wide range of topics and areas.

“There are children’s playgrounds, there are some retention tanks, there is also a Celtic fort, which we have here, there is a lot of it. That is why I would like people to stop here. This exhibition is from the beginning of April and will be here in these premises until June 20,” said Petra Šikýřová (Independent) – deputy mayor of Prague 15 municipal council.

For example, one of the panels belongs to children, for whom the city district regularly prepares a number of interesting events, including the planting of Trees of Life.

“When they can take care of the tree, they can see how it grows together with their children. At the same time, here we have a sample of our kindergartens, on the one hand, the Kindergarten in Kozinov, which we implemented in 2023, but then there are the kindergartens in Gercenov, which is under construction and planned in Doupovská street,” said Petra Šikýřová (Independent) – deputy mayor of Prague 15 municipal council.

Another panel for change belongs to those who are experiencing the autumn of life. The city district has long been dedicated to senior citizens and is devising a rich program for them.

“Here we are currently seeing photos from the summer festivities that we organize together with the CSOP in June and then as part of the Prague 15 days in autumn in September. Here is also the Ruty-šuty senior club from the partner city of Žilina,” said Petra Šikýřová (Independent) – deputy mayor City Hall Prague 15.

The panels also mention the oldest cultural monument in the territory of the district, which is the Church of the Coronation of St. John the Baptist in Hostivař. But we definitely cannot miss the mention of the two oldest associations in Patnáctec, which are the Association of Volunteer Firefighters from Horní Měcholup and Sokol Hostivař. But we can’t forget Tulc’s yard either. In short, there is a lot and you can see it all for free and in any weather.
