On the May holidays, historic buses and trolleybuses will take to the streets

Historic trolleybuses and buses will be dispatched by DSZO on Wednesday 1st and Wednesday 8th May to lines with passengers. Historic vehicles will run on the lines as inserted connections according to special timetables. They will stop at all stops of the respective lines.

“Passengers will be able to take photos of the vehicles at various attractive locations and also take a ride in them, under normal tariff conditions. I wish our customers a pleasant experience and fond memories of the times that have already passed.” said Director of the DSZO Josef Kocháň.

In the vehicles, travel documents for individual journeys and time coupons will be valid, as well as all discounts, if the passengers are entitled to them. Standard ticket markers will be installed in vintage vehicles. In the siding, tickets are marked or even sold to passengers by conductors.

“In the event of a sudden breakdown of the historic vehicle, these connections on the affected line would be canceled without compensation. We also point out that historic vehicles are not barrier-free and do not allow the transport of passengers in wheelchairs,” said Jan Tesař, DSZO chief dispatcher.

Which cars and on which routes will the public see them?

Red historic Škoda 9 Tr trolleybus with red Jelcz PO-1E lift will run on both holiday days on line no. 6 between the Zlín housing estate Jižní Svahy and the railway station in Otrokovice.

Departures from the final Jižní Svaha-Kocanda: 9:04; 11:04 a.m.; 13:04; 15:04 and 16:52 to the depot.

Departures from Otrokovice railway station: 10:11 a.m.; 12:11 p.m.; 2:11 p.m.; 4:11 p.m.

Yellow trolleybus type Škoda 14 Tr possibly No. 170 will be included after both holidays on line 9 (Baťova hospital – Jižní Svahy-Středová).

Departures from the Baťova nemocnice stop: 8:20 a.m.; 9:20 a.m.; 10:20 a.m.; 11:20 a.m.; 12:20 p.m.; 13:20; 2:20 p.m.; 15:20; 4:20 p.m.; 17:20.

Departures from the final station Jižní Svaha-Strědová: 9:00 a.m. and every full hour until 6:00 p.m.

Blue historical Škoda 706 RTO bus with blue Karosa B 40 lift it will go to Otrokovice on May 1st, where it will run on line No. 55 (Otrokovice-railway station – Štěrkoviště) at hourly intervals.

Departures from the railway station: 9:08 and every hour until 17:08.

Departures from Štěrkoviště terminal: 9:24 a.m. and every hour until 5:24 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 8, this bus will run on line no. 4, or 5, between the final Podhoří and the Lešná-ZOO stop.

Departures from Podhoří: 9:05 a.m.; 10:25 a.m.; 11:45 a.m.; 13:05; 2:25 p.m.; 3:45 p.m.; 5:05 p.m.

Departures from Lešná-ZOO: 9:36 a.m.; 10:56 a.m.; 12:13 p.m.; 13:36; 14:56; 4:16 p.m.; 5:36 p.m.

Red and cream historical bus ŠM 11 it will be dispatched on May 1 to line No. 4 (5) between the final Podhoří and the Lešná-ZOO stop and on May 8 to line No. 55 in Otrokovice. The same timetables as in the previous case for the Škoda 706 RTO bus will apply to connections of the historic line.
