The celebration of the witches is fast approaching, and already next Tuesday bonfires will be lit in various places in Prague. The last day of April, also known as Philip and Jacob’s night, is also associated with varied programs full of good food and entertainment. We cordially invite you to the unforgettable celebration of the Witches, which takes place on April 30, 2024 at the Čentická Multifunctional Sports Complex! All afternoon and evening we will celebrate the arrival of spring and banish winter together. We have prepared a rich program full of fun for you.

Children’s program: From 15:00 you can look forward to a magic program, various competitions and games for our littlest witches and wizards.
Announcement of the competition for the best costume: At 16:40 it will be decided who has the best costume!
Bonfire lighting: Come and light a bonfire with us at 17:00 and symbolically banish winter!
Evening program: From 19:00 the paid program starts, where great music and an unforgettable atmosphere await you. The group Heĺeniné oči will perform for you and right after them from 21:00 Wohnouti will appear on the stage! You can buy tickets online here or with the help of the QR code on the poster, or in person at the Municipal Office and in the library.

The thirty-third year of the witches is preparing a varied program for the widest range of visitors – small and large bonfires and roasting burritos, the choice of the most beautiful witch and other accompanying pastimes for the whole family, a rich gastronomic offer, music and dance program.

The Witch in the Yellow Spa
Where: the Žluté lázně complex in Podolí
When: Tuesday, April 30

The traditional celebration of witches will open this season in the area of the Yellow Spa in Prague’s Podolí. On Tuesday, April 30, visitors can expect an afternoon party full of fun and a varied program. The celebrations will be held in traditional style by the banks of the Vltava with live music, roasting of dumplings and activities especially for children. The event will start at 2 p.m. The organizers will light a roughly three-meter bonfire at 6 p.m.
Little and big wizards and witches will occupy the grassy meadow in Žluty Lázně. The packed program for the whole family will especially entertain the little ones, who are waiting for the mysterious Witch’s Trail with a gift for collected stamps.

“They will certainly be entertained by the colorful competitions, a show full of dancing and singing with Bára Ladrová, singing by the fire with Petr Škarohlíd, or the popular fairground attractions. Moderator Jan Meruna will guide you through the entire program,” explains Hana Tietze, spokesperson for the Žluté lázně complex. Three times in the evening, guests can look forward to the performance of the band So Fine, which will play domestic and foreign hits.
Visitors to the area also have the opportunity to roast a spekáček directly on the fire, or taste another delicacy from the specialties of the local cuisine. The witches’ gathering will last until late at night. After dark, everyone can look forward to a magical after-party with DJ Michal Kozlíček.
The partners of the witch’s day are Mestská část Praha 4, Druchema, Kores, Kroužky, Pompo, H2OSPODÁŘ, Life is Skill, Kutil Junior and Rádio Praha.
