Firefighters evacuated six people and two dogs

Today before two o’clock in the afternoon, the firemen went to the rescuers’ report about the leakage of dangerous substances into the air in a family house in Na Bajnerce Street in Plzeň na Slovany. The rescuers, who intervened on the spot due to the nausea of ​​one of the residents, triggered the carbon monoxide sensors that they are equipped with when they go out.

“In the family house, we measured high concentrations of carbon monoxide and methane. Six people and two dogs were evacuated. We intervene on the spot with breathing techniques, the rescuers have two people in their care,” the spokesman for the fire department told us, according to which the cause of the leak was a fault with the house’s boiler.

“We have ventilated the house, so the rest of the evacuees can already return,” the spokesman added a few minutes ago.
“Paramedics on the spot cared for a man born in 1951 and a woman born in 1952, both with symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. After being secured, both were transported to the Acute Intake of the Lochotín University Hospital,” the spokesperson for the rescuers told us.
