Enrollment in Pilsen kindergartens will take place in May

Applications will be issued on May 6 and 7. A total of 1,372 vacancies are advertised for all kindergartens in Pilsen.

From 1 September 2024, pre-school education is compulsory for children who will reach the age of five by 31 August 2024. Therefore, if the child is not yet attending kindergarten, the legal representative must register him/her in the fall kindergarten by the registration deadline. The city has long been using the electronic application at https://mszapis.plzen.eu for kindergarten registration.

In accordance with the Education Act, the child’s permanent residence is decisive for enrollment in kindergarten. To register, parents must bring a duly completed application, which they can find on the website, a birth certificate, their identity card, or proof of permanent residence of the child (if it differs from the permanent residence of the legal representatives – the original confirmation from the residence registration office).

In addition, it is necessary to secure a confirmation from a general practitioner about the child’s vaccination directly on the application, this is not required for a child with compulsory pre-school education.

If the legal representative does not have access to the Internet or a printer, a contact point will be available at the City Hall of the City of Pilsen and at the municipal district offices, where officials will help with filling out the application. They will also help with filling out the application form directly at the kindergarten.
