The Libeňská puť already has a great tradition in the Prague 8 district. It was then held for the eighth time in a row in the church of St. Avojtěch and its immediate surroundings. Also this year, Osmička prepared a rich fair program for visitors, including both young and old.
“Like every year, many stalls, hand-powered children’s attractions, which means that no electricity is needed and so on, we have experience that it is popular and of course things that are important for children’s education. Our volunteers The firefighters have prepared a station where they show especially children artificial respiration, saving life, I consider that important,” said Ondřej Gros (ODS) – mayor of Prague 8.
Since the pilgrimage took place right next to the church of St. Avojtěch, the program was prepared there as well.
“There’s also an interesting program going on there, not only guided tours, but also period music, medieval music, and there’s also a children’s show, so there’s something for everyone. Outside there’s folk entertainment and in the church it’s a bit like church. We also have a children’s theater outside, so definitely everyone will find something of their own here,” said Jana Solomonová (ANO) – councilor of the Prague 8 municipal council.
And of course there was plenty of good food and drink for children and adults.
“We have some sausages, Krkonoše potato pancakes, several types of beers, I think everyone will find something for themselves. Cotton candy for the children, as on every pilgrimage, so I think that the weather has been good, so there will be a lot of people and I hope they will all be satisfied,” said Ondřej Gros (ODS) – mayor of Prague 8.
Compared to last year, there were also a lot of new stands at the Libeňská puti, where people could buy typical fair goodies and souvenirs, including homemade knitted products.
