This year, he led West Bohemia from the second preliminary round of the European Conference League to its quarterfinals. In addition, he went through the basic group of the European Cup with Viktoria undefeated, his charge also awaits the final of the domestic cup and will end the season with the certainty of participation in the preliminary rounds of the European League for the upcoming season.

“First of all, I would like to say that Míra Koubek is doing a great job this season together with his implementation team and the players. We are rebuilding the team along the way, young players and foster children have joined it. We have experienced an extraordinary journey through cup Europe, the cup final awaits us and we are sure of a start in the 3rd preliminary round of the Europa League in the coming year,” said Adolf Šádek, CEO and chairman of the club’s board of directors.

“Already during the spring season, the coach and I talked about various options, and they finally sat down to discuss everything after the last round of the regular season. Our agreement was formed very quickly. We were interested in the coach continuing his work, Míra Koubek as well, so an agreement was reached and he will lead Viktoria in the coming season as well,” added Adolf Šádek.

The superstructure will start on Saturday. When will the derby between Sparta and Slavia be and when will the champion be at the latest?

“We are very satisfied with the work of coach Koubek. We see how he works with the team, he can improve young and new players and integrate them into the team, which is our philosophy. We look forward to further cooperation,” said Martin Dellenbach, a member of the board of directors FC Viktoria Plzeň.

“I appreciate the confidence the club has shown in me and the support of the Victorian fans. At the same time, after a year of work, I have a positive feeling about mutual cooperation with the team and with colleagues from the implementation team. It was these findings that played a significant role in my decision. I believe that we will build on the work that we started in the current year and try to move it a little further,” said Miroslav Koubek after signing the new contract.
