“As soon as I found out that the referee had awarded a penalty kick after a foul on me, I decided to trip her,” says Lux.
According to him, it was a normal fight, no foul. “We held on a bit, but it certainly wasn’t a penalty,” he is clear.
“The referee had an obscured view and when he saw me fall he decided to whistle her. But I understand him. He’s young and definitely had stage fright. He was helped a lot by an experienced colleague of Korolovych, who was on the line,” he adds.
Since the footballers of Bystřice pod Lopeníek fell at home due to a missed penalty, the gesture of fair play was the main subject of post-match discussions. While the guests from Žítková appreciated Lux’s approach and publicly thanked him, some teammates just shook their heads incomprehension.
“It’s true that they were surprised at first, but I think they’ll prove me right later, although unfortunately not all of them,” he says sadly.
Paradoxically, Lux is one of the renowned penalty specialists. He also took penalty kicks in previous clubs and rarely failed.

On Saturday, he didn’t convert the penalty kick on purpose, which shouldn’t count. He only made it out of the game. In the 62nd minute, he sent the home team into a 2:1 lead.
However, Bystřice under Lopeníek lost a well-played duel, falling 2:3 at home and remaining only eleventh in the table.
“It was an even match that would have deserved a draw,” says Lux. “The first half was bad from our side, after the change of sides the game improved, but unfortunately the ending betrayed us again. The guests, on the other hand, were held back by the goalkeeper, who only caught two chances for me. We lacked the proverbial little bit of luck,” he adds disappointedly.
Forty-two-year-old Lux has had an interesting career. A native of Uherské Brod, he passed through Prakšice, Šumice, Slavkov, Drslavice and Bánov, where he now lives and runs a pub there. “I’m there every day. I always just jump to the field and then fly back,” he says with a smile.
The huge fan of Sparta Prague fondly remembers the exhibition match between Bánov and Sparta. In a wild 4:9 defeat, he beat goalkeeper Zítka twice. “I also hit from 35 meters left-handed,” he boasts.
He will never forget the anniversary of eighty years of football in Bánov in 2022, when he put on the jersey of the old guard of Bánov in a duel with the Mercedes Team, for which the former Slovakian representative Marek Hamšík also started.

Lux played at most I. B class, he didn’t really want to train. “But football used to be at a better level than now,” he knows well.
He enjoys his beloved sport even at the age of 42. That is also why he allowed himself to be persuaded after the operation and went to play in Bystřice pod Lopeníek. “Originally we only agreed on a derby against Bánov, but I extended one match to two years. But this should really be my last season. It no longer serves health,” he says.
But he will remain loyal to football. Lux is a loyal fan of Sparta Prague. In the past, he went to almost every league match, European cups. Now he only gets into the auditorium occasionally. Time is short, responsibilities are many.
“Sparta has been my passion since I was a child. I am a fan club member, I pay dues. There are quite a few of us in my neighborhood. Certainly more than stapled ones,” he claims.
He travels to the Letenské duels with his childhood friend Martin Polák. The last time they were in Cyprus was in December, and they have also had trips to Italy, Switzerland, Germany and other European countries.
He has no doubts at all about who will win the championship this year. “I guess that’s clear,” he adds with a smile.
