A tourist from Slovakia discovered a human head in the river in the center of Pilsen. She informed the city police about the find via Facebook, when she also sent them a photo via the aforementioned network.

A Slovak tourist announced the discovery of a human head in the Radbuza River in the center of Pilsen. The city police sent a patrol to the scene after viewing the photo they received from the woman via Facebook. The exact position was determined not only based on the woman’s description, but also thanks to the Bezpečí portal, where the police officer can connect with the caller using video transmission. Officers then confirmed at the river that they were human remains and called the state police.
The head was already in a considerable stage of decomposition and had been in the water for a long time, it probably floated at a higher level after the snow melted. It could thus also be related to the murder that took place last year, when a mutilated body without a head, genitals and other injuries was found further downstream in the river Berounce.

The suspect in this murder was caught by the police in February this year. But the accused Tomáš H. persistently denies that he killed the Slovak, who moved among the homeless and was known here under the nickname Čobol. He also said this to a Deník reporter at a recent trial for another criminal activity.
