The Railway Administration (SŽ) is once again revitalizing plans for the revitalization of the line between Chlumec nad Cidlina and Trutnov. In a competition with an estimated price of less than 40 million crowns, he is looking for a company that will update the existing documentation from 2019.
The new contract was advertised by the Railway Administration on the contracting authority’s profile. “The documentation for the building permit will be supplemented by ETCS L1 in the Stará Paka – Trutnov section and GSM-R in the entire section. Given that the project documentation was prepared in 2019, the update of the documentation will also include changes to standards, regulations, additions to the information system, additions to the security of central crossings and changes to the control design of individual stations,” said the spokesperson of the Railway Administration, Nela Eberl Friebová.
The assignment also includes an update of the transport technology, which is intended to show how the introduction of ETCS will affect journey times.
The designers also have to deal with the ETCS solution at the Martinice station in the Krkonoše Mountains, where the mechanical signals will remain due to heritage protection. “The proposed technical solution from the original documentation at the Martinice station in the Giant Mountains is not compatible with the now required ETCS solution. A new draft of the technical solution will be prepared and approved as part of the construction of the 1st stage,” Frieb added.
