The Karel Havlek Borovska award for personalities who influence Czech journalism was won by the newspaper, historian and editor of the Czech radio Plus Josef Pazderka for his impressive and unbiased reporting, for his personal commitment in reports and his ability to improve other newspapers.

The public award went to Adla Jelnkov and Christine Havranov from Seznam Przvy for the podcast Slopn: Who is the murderer? With the fall of the forgotten murders, for which seven young men were imprisoned for 11 years, they dominated the Analytical-Investigative Journalism category.

This year, the prize for foreign journalism was awarded for the first time. The Daniel Ane prize for foreign reporting went to Jan Fingerland from the Czech Radio, which provides the Czech audience with events at the Near Entrance.

Support for foreign newspapers will thus be newly created by the Daniel Ana Fund, which was jointly founded by Kateina Afakov, Ji Ndoba and Kateina Antrov and will be managed by the OSF Foundation. The fund aims to help start-up newspapers with a focus on the field. For the selected applicants, plron will financially cover their stay in the newsroom, which will provide them with land and mentoring, and the expenses for a reporting trip abroad.

Prizes are awarded in 13 categories, nine of which are nominated by the public. In total, a record 890 PSPs were nailed. The newspaper prize under the OSF Foundation since 2010 and appreciates the high-quality journalistic work that captures the daily issues of society in a unique way. Entries for the Novinsk values ​​prize were selected by an independent expert jury composed of personalities from the media, cultural, non-profit and academic sectors.

On Monday, the Independent Fund of Independent Journalism distributed 600,000 crowns between six projects in the field of independent journalism. The JKS Mdia project (Okraj.cz), Nae Broumovsko, Apel-plzen.cz, Jihoesk tdenky, Revue Sever (NLiberec.cz) and the Ohlasy.info project received support.
