Zaz will be spreading joy at Metronome Prague 2023!

--

The magical French chanson singer Zaz is another reason not to miss this year’s edition Metronome Prague. An artist with music running through her veins can turn her performances into an experience of a lifetime.

Zaz, whose real name is Isabelle Geffroy, charmed the whole world with melodies that are a catchy mix of gypsy jazz, French chanson, melodic pop and swing, spiced up with Latin and flamenco-flavored street bangers.

She dedicated her whole life to music. Already at the age of five, she started attending the conservatory in Tours, where she studied music theory, playing the violin, piano, guitar and, of course, singing. She continued her studies at the conservatory in Bordeaux and at the same time began performing with a small orchestra at country dances.

In the following years, she replaced several groups of various genres, sang in cabarets, played on the street. And then the fateful ad appeared “I’m looking for a husky, slightly broken voice.”, whose author was composer and producer Kérredine. Her voice immediately struck a chord with him and the debut album “Zaz” (2010) was born with the mega-hit “Je veux”, which brought the singer worldwide success. The albums “Recto Verso” (2013), “Paris” (2014), “Sur la route” (2015), “Effet miroir” (2018) and “Isa” (2021) followed, bringing Zaz enormous popularity and an immense army of fans .

Zaz is an expressive singer with an irresistible charisma. She radiates positive energy far and wide, she is open, direct, irresistible – on stage and in everyday life. Her performances exude unreal musical joy: “I love singing, I love life, I love dancing. All of this gives me an incredible amount of energy.” Zaz adores the Czech Republic and the Czech Republic adores Zaz – her open air concert at Metronome Prague 2023 will once again be one of those that will be talked about for a long time.
