Coach Petr Rada will lead Dukla Praha not only in Friday’s 20th round of the second league in Jihlava, but probably also in the following matches. The 65-year-old coach received a record eight-month sentence for a racist insult a week ago, against which he appealed. The appeal committee of the Football Association of the Czech Republic requested a written justification from the disciplinary committee, which is not yet ready. Therefore, the verdict is not valid yet. Rad’s case will be heard in about three weeks. Jan Malý, the chairman of the appeals commission, told ČTK.

Rada was guilty in the duel of the opening spring round with Zbrojovka Brno, which ended 3:3 at Juliska. He called visiting coach Tomáš Polách a “desperate gypsy”. In addition to the eight-month sentence, he was fined 80,000 crowns. With Dukla, he leads the table by two points ahead of Vyškov.

“We will not deal with Mr. Rada today (at the appeal committee meeting) because there is no written version of the first-instance body yet. I think that the disciplinary committee will make a written decision next week after Easter. Then we always give each participant at least 14 days to against that, he drew up a written appeal with arguments. Then we will order a hearing on the matter. We meet once every three Sundays.” said Little.

It does not assume that the members of the appeals committee will decide to convene an extraordinary meeting. “Today we will discuss it with our colleagues, if we don’t decide on it earlier. Frankly speaking, I see no reason why the case of Mr. Rada should be different from other cases of, for example, Premier League players, clubs or coaches. I think that we will proceed in exactly the same way as in the others cases. With very few exceptions, we have never held extraordinary meetings,” said Malý.

The former national team defender and former coach of the national team, Teplice, Jablonec, Liberec or both Prague “S” has been repeatedly punished by the disciplinary committee. Most recently, in October, Rada received a three-game ban and a fine of 30,000 crowns for threatening assistant referee Tomáš Mokrusch during a match in Chrudim.
