Colorado in Winnipeg was losing 0:1 after twenty minutes, but broke the course of the match in the second period. The Jets responded to Miles Wood’s equalizing goal, but could not find an answer to the three shots at the end of the period. Artturi Lehkonen, Zach Parise and Josh Manson scored within less than six minutes to break the tie in favor of the visiting team.

The NY Rangers, like the Avalanche, conceded first, but managed to turn the match in their favor. Connor McMichael’s leading goal was answered by Vincent Trocheck and Mika Zibanejad, and the New York team did not let the Capitals in front of them. Although the visitors equalized in the second period, the Rangers bounced back to 4:2 with two goals, and in the third period, Washington only allowed a touch goal.

Florida also managed the second duel in the derby with Tampa Bay, winning 3:2 in overtime. The Panthers lost a two-goal lead in the second period and could have even lost if it weren’t for goalkeeper Sergej Bobrovsky. But in the 35th minute, the Russian goalkeeper denied a turnover with a great catch with his back to the shooting Matt Dumbo, and in extra time, Carter Verhaeghe completed his work, who scored the winning goal to make it 3:2.

The second game of the series with Nashville did not work out for Vancouver defender Filip Hronka. The Czech defender played over 22 minutes, but he was on the ice for two conceded goals and the Canucks eventually fell 1:4. The Predators tied the series at 1-1 with a win in Western Canada.
