Bohemians – Pardubice 2:1, Bohemka beat Pardubice at the end of the regular season

--

The Vršovice team finished the regular season in 11th place with 35 points, which is 13 less than last year’s fourth place, which it also defended in the subsequent group for the title. Pardubice got the same 28 points as last season, but this time they are in 13th position, two places better. Bohemians will start the expansion next week at home against the last České Budějovice, the East Bohemians will welcome the fifteenth Zlín.

The visitors started the match well, in the third minute Patrák’s pinpoint shot went just wide. Moments later, goalkeeper Soukup caught Brdička from close range. In addition to two chances, Patrák initially demanded a penalty kick, but in Ďolíček, as in the other three duels of the final round, the game was played without a video referee, and the head referee Hocek did not react to the fall of the Pardubice footballer.

Filip Brdička from Pardubice and Michal Beran from Bohemians, both teams will also face each other in the extension group for salvation.

The home team only gained courage after a quarter of an hour with Kovařík’s blocked shot. In the 25th minute, Prekop sent Kozák on a solo escape, who hesitated at the ideal moment to finish and after an unnecessary loop from an angle missed the goal.

Just a few tens of seconds later, the “Kangaroos” were already rejoicing. Dostál won the ball on the right sideline, Hála then swung it over goalkeeper Kinski and comfortably finished it into the open Kovařík net at the back post. The 35-year-old left-footed all-rounder scored his third goal in the league season, so far he only scored in the sixth round in a 2:1 home win against the other East Bohemian team Hradec Králové.

With the leading goal, the team from Prague leveled the match between two teams with the worst offense in the competition with 28 goals, but they fell behind their opponent again immediately after the change of sides. Halinský still had a great chance to shoot from the small goal area, but in the 48th minute, Sychra ran away from the defense and finished with a precise cross shot. The 22-year-old winger made his mark after two minutes on the pitch after replacing Brdička at halftime. Pardubice scored against Bohemians after 400 minutes of play and three matches in which they did not score.

Even on the other side, the new man on the pitch was able to assert himself soon after the substitution, but Matouška’s dotted attempt was covered by Kinský. The quick-footed forward scored only in the 73rd minute. Dostál returned the ball in front of the goal with his head and Matoušek found his way around the jam best. The two-time representative, who only played in the third match in the spring due to health problems, scored the third goal in the league season.

Even the two best scorers of the Zlatohlávek team with Daňek, who came into the game from the bench, did not revive the visitors’ offensive. On the contrary, in the 80th minute, Ristovski threw away a great opportunity at the front post. After all, Pardubice created one more scoring chance in the set-up, but captain Hlavatý missed from the small area.

The “kangaroos” won only in the second of the last 15 league matches and celebrated the three-point win after three matches. After a 1:2 home defeat against Mlada Boleslav, the East Bohemians did not score for the second time in a row.
