Miroslav Etzler he published the sad news on his Instagram, which is followed by almost 40,000 people. “William, great grandfather and very nice guy, have a safe journey to heaven. It hurts. And thank you for everything” he said goodbye to his father-in-law and shared two family photos in which Etzler’s youngest son Samuel (5) is also posing with Vilém.
One of them, taken directly in the hospital corridor, suggests that the father of Etzler’s partner Helena Bartalošová (42) was suffering from health problems.
This is far from the first tragedy for the well-known actor… In 1982, the brothers Miroslav and Tomáš (60) already buried their father Miroslav, just a month before his 57th birthday. The enthusiastic actor and theater critic then succumbed to colon cancer.
In 1996, their only 56-year-old mother, Maria Etzlerová, was affected by aggressive Alzheimer’s disease, and the former chorister of the State Opera in Ostrava also died not long after.
