/PHOTO/ A traffic accident on the I/54 road between Vracov and Bzenec ended in tragedy on Friday. Due to a collision there at seven in the evening, one person was killed and two others were injured. A total of four vehicles crashed.

A traffic accident involving two cars and a van on the I/54 road between Vracov and Bzenec ended in tragedy on Friday.

Rescuers went to the scene, who also dispatched a helicopter. “One patient died, we were unable to restore his vital functions during resuscitation. A total of three injuries remained at the scene,” the spokeswoman informed South Moravian rescuers Michaela Bothová.
She mentioned that one patient with a serious injury was being transported by helicopter to the hospital in Bohunice. “We transported the other two across the country to the hospital in Kyjov,” added Bothová.
Firefighters helped free one injured person. At the same time, technicians from four stations were dispatched to the site.
Accident caused a temporary closure on the I/54 road, the circumstances of the tragic event are being investigated by the police.
