VIDEO: Bridge in Baltimore collapsed in seconds. A cargo ship crashed into it

In Baltimore on the east coast of the United States, a four-lane road bridge collapsed today, into which a cargo ship had previously crashed. It was reported by the Fox Baltimore server. It is not yet clear whether the collapse of the 2.5 kilometer long structure claimed any lives.

According to the BBC, the incident was reported byaround 01:30 local time (05:30 GMT). All lanes are currently closed and traffic is being diverted.

Chief Kevin Cartwright, director of communications for the Baltimore City Fire Department, said, that “up to seven individuals and several vehicles” fell into the river. A rescue operation is currently underway at the site.
