Trains will be full on holidays, the railways report. They offer passengers a “traffic light”

We are currently putting up a user environment in our e-shop. The traffic light is another tool that allows long-distance travelers to better fill their journey and avoid, for example, inconveniences with fully occupied cities to sit on the train, says general editor of Czech Railways Michal Krapinec. He added that the traffic light should help people during Easter traditions.

The connection occupied indicator has the following basic variants. The green color indicates a connection with expected low occupancy. Oran’s condition is indicated by the order on the expected average occupancy, when it is recommended for a comfortable trip to the boarding house. Under the red color are those trains, which are expected to carry a large number of passengers. Typically, these are trains between large cities during peak times. If the capacity of the train is full, the passenger may encounter an icon and the inscription Seats sold out.

So, for example, on the expressway from Prague to Ostrava in the afternoon, the traffic light was lit after noon. So he recommended a place. At the expressway to st nad Labem, the Krunohor expressway predicted low occupancy, and at the Elbe expressway twenty minutes later, Red reported high occupancy.

The expected capacity utilization is indicative of a specific searched section. So, if a passenger searches for example a Prague-Ostrava train, the system will take into account the most occupied section and, according to it, the train is expected to be occupied. When searching for a connection with a transfer, the expected occupancy of the longest train from the connections is displayed. When opening the connection detail, the traffic light is displayed separately for each train, D said in the first.

The novelty has been available on the website in pilot operation since Wednesday, and will gradually appear in the My Train mobile application.
