A tragic accident happened in Brno on Wednesday morning. A pedestrian was hit by a tram and suffered life-threatening injuries. The event affected the operation of public transport in the South Moravian metropolis for several hours.
The South Moravian fire department informed about the tragic accident shortly before noon. “In Brno Komín, we are responding to a pedestrian accident following a collision with a tram. The man died on the spot. We sent technicians from three stations,” https://twitter.com/hzsjhm/status/1775461775317545180 on social network X.
Due to the accident, tram lines 1 and 3 ended at the Vozovna Komín stop for several hours, while bus lines 50, 52 and 54 were extended to the same stop. Replacement bus transport was also provided. Normal traffic was restored after half past one in the afternoon, the transport company said on its website.
