DC United will be looking to bounce back at home after a 2-0 defeat in New York last week to New York City FC. The Black-and-Red currently sit in 11th place in the Eastern Conference and will host Seattle Sounders FC at Audi Field this Saturday for the club’s 2024 Sustainability Night presented by Audi.
Christian Benteke has been a bright spot for DC, leading the team with six goals and sitting just behind Lionel Messi and Cristian Arango in the MLS Golden Boot race.
Joining Troy Lesesne’s squad this weekend will be Mateusz Klich and Aaron Herrera who served a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation.
The Sounders, meanwhile, find themselves struggling on the road. They are yet to pick up a win away from home this season and will be eager to try and do just that as they arrive in the nation’s capital. This will be the first meeting between these two teams since 2019, and both sides find themselves similarly looking to climb out of the bottom half of their respective conference tables.
Seattle holds the historic advantage with nine wins compared to United’s three, and the sides have drawn twice.
