Already after the crime, he sent part of the money to one of the supposed perpetrators. He is accused of a terrorist act and faces a life sentence, the Russian state news agency TASS wrote.

The terrorist organization Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, a suburb of the Russian capital, which, according to the authorities, left at least 144 dead and more than 550 wounded.

Nevertheless, Moscow is trying to connect the shooting with Ukraine, which Russia invaded more than two years ago, but has not presented evidence for this. Ukraine denied involvement in the terrorist attack.

The ninth suspect was taken into custody by the court on March 29. Nazrimada Lutfulloi is also from Tajikistan and, according to radio station BFM, investigators suspect him of being involved in terrorist financing.

Russia’s FSB secret service reported on Monday that four foreigners, detained on Sunday in Dagestan in southern Russia, are suspected of having participated in the financing of a terrorist attack and supplied the attackers with weapons.

The day after the attack, the head of the FSB announced the arrest of eleven suspects, including four of the alleged attackers.

Even before the bloodiest terrorist attack committed in Russia in the last 20 years, in addition to the United States, Iran also warned Moscow against the action of radical Islamists, Reuters reported on Monday, citing three unnamed informed sources. “I don’t know anything about it,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, while Iran’s foreign ministry did not respond to a request for comment.

Before the attack, Tehran shared with Moscow information about a possible major terrorist attack in Russia, which it had obtained during the interrogation of people arrested in connection with the bombings in Iran, one of the sources said.

Reuters recalled that in January, Iran detained 35 suspects, including the commander of the Afghan branch of the Islamic State, in connection with the attacks in the city of Kerman, which killed almost a hundred people.

However, a second source said the Iranian intelligence lacked specifics on timing and target. It only stated that one of the arrested terrorists testified that some members of the group had already traveled to Russia, where a “significant event” was planned.
