A week ago, a thousand people gathered in Hamburg to demonstrate against the way the media in Germany report on Islam. Muslims, some of whom openly demanded the establishment of a caliphate, gathered at the call of the Muslim Interaktiv organization. On Saturday, a similarly large counter-demonstration was held in Hamburg, organized by the Secular Islam initiative or the German Kurdish community. The event, which clearly rejected the violation of the democratic establishment in the country, was again disrupted by Islamic radicals. The police detained one of them, Bild newspaper reports.

According to the Deutsche Welle server, in response to a protest calling for a “caliphate”, hundreds of people gathered in Germany and gave speeches in support of a democratic establishment. “We see Muslims as citizens of a democratic society who share the same rights and duties as other citizens,” the Secular Islam Association states on its website.

According to the newspaper Bild, the protest was disrupted by a trio of apparently radical supporters of the previous demonstration. “In principle, a protest against a demonstration is of course allowed, but in this case it was too aggressive,” Bild quotes a police spokesperson as saying that they subsequently detained a man for the duration of the demonstration, whom they identified as the leader of the group of violators.

According to the police, around eight hundred participants were supposed to gather at the demonstration. They met near Hamburg Central Station on Saturday at noon. According to the police, around 1,100 participants gathered at the protest last week. Some of the Islamists openly demanded the establishment of a caliphate. “The caliphate is the solution,” were the slogans and banners seen at the Islamist demonstration in Hamburg.

According to Bild, the leader of Muslim Interaktiv, Joe Adade Boateng (25), also spoke at the demonstration. He has thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok. The young man is radicalizing young Muslims on social media and regularly publishes hateful sermons against Israel and the entire Western world. In secret meetings with his followers, he was supposed to call for the establishment of a caliphate in Germany in the past.
