At the very least, the Russians are very good at rattling weapons, and with such machines they have always made it a point to instill fear. This one calls itself the Centurion, and it’s a rather mysterious monster so far. But we know that it is based on the Dakar legend and it will not be a sharpener because of that.

We will probably never know for sure what the current mood is in Russia without being there, but we will not imagine that everyone is pulling together. Whether because of the two-year war in Ukraine, or because of Friday’s terrorist interest in Krasnogorsk near Moscow, the current leadership of the country will have enemies not only outside, but also inside the country. But it is also clearly ready to face them with all its vigor.

This is also indicated by footage of a never-before-seen armored car of the Russian police, which was photographed by one of the Telegram users, with whose permission we are publishing the images. That it is a machine serving the police is already indicated by the fact that it was standing in Moscow at Petrovka Street 38, where the police headquarters is located. The Centurion markings can be read on its stern, but that’s where all the clear information ends.

According to people from Drom, it should be built on the basis of the Kamazu-4911, which you may be familiar with. This Russian truck is inextricably linked with the Dakar Rally, which the Extreme variant conquered between 2002 and 2006. At the time, it was powered by a 17.24-liter eight-cylinder diesel that produced an incredible 850 horsepower. Thanks to this, even the 10.3-liter monster managed to accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds. The top speed was then electronically limited to 180 km/h.

We cannot confirm whether Centurion uses this technique. However, the base is not exactly the worst, because in its case, the YMZ 7E846 turbodiesel produces 700 horsepower. The maximum speed is 165 km/h, and the car can carry up to 5 tons of cargo. At the same time, it can wade through water up to 1.8 meters deep, while consumption with a full load at a speed of 120 km/h is 100 liters per 100 kilometers. If you use this against the “naughty” Russians, they will hardly be able to do anything. The car is scary, even if it is stationary, but judge for yourself.
