Maybe you think that if you don’t do well, you can always go to the store to sell, for example, because it’s easy, you should remember that it’s not a walk in the park at all. It is not for nothing that retail chains have to constantly add to their staff, and they often leave to do something less demanding anyway.

From the outside, it is really hard to imagine what such a saleswoman has to handle, especially when it comes to dealing with customers. They have all kinds of manners that need to be responded to in some way. An unnamed Lidl employee shared his experiences.

Age question

For some reason, customers in the Czech Republic feel that their age must be visible at first glance. If the saleswoman then asks them to show their identity card when they buy, for example, alcohol, they often react very irritated and do not forgive themselves for all kinds of comments. Even if they are funny, know that the person behind the cash register has already heard them a hundred times that day and is not curious about them.

Money bag

In the Czech Republic, there is still a belief that if you spend a lot of money on a purchase in a store, you can also take plastic or other shopping bags with you for free. Even though this is no longer the case in reality, people still do not hesitate to frequent supermarket employees with indiscriminate comments when they find out that a bag costs, say, 20 CZK. From the point of view of the saleswoman, it is a product like any other, and moreover, she is not the one who determines how much it will cost.

Opening hours

There is a really strange phenomenon going on with some stores. People gather here even before opening hours, for a variety of reasons. Some want to choose from unopened sale items, while others want to buy food before work. Although the “opening time” is clearly stated, this certainly does not prevent many from curiously peeking into the store even half an hour before and demanding to be allowed inside. However, that is not possible. It simply opens only the minute the official operation begins.

Notes in queue

In stores, it is quite common for a queue to form at the checkout area at busy times. Cashiers drive like screws, but they still can’t handle it. And then smart remarks about how so-and-so could be faster start to be heard from the queue. Often there will be several such individuals, and the atmosphere will then begin to thicken really quickly.
