On Easter, the people of Prague will be able to visit the markets, go to the zoo in Troja, where there will be an Easter program, or to the neighboring botanical garden. Some Prague monuments will also be open, such as the Malostranské Bridge Tower or the Astronomical Tower in Klementin.

On the Easter holidays, people can visit Prague’s largest markets, visitors will find 73 stalls on Old Town Square, 27 on Wenceslas Square. For those interested, the market will offer stalls selling Easter goods, such as pom-poms, Easter eggs including wire and wooden ones, crocheted blankets, wicker products, rust and straw or ceramics. From the dishes, people can buy popular Czech sausages, gingerbread, sweet spreads and lamb, egg spread or green beer from the market stalls.

On Easter, Prague residents can also visit the zoo in Prague’s Troja, which has prepared a themed program. Visitors can look forward to guided feedings, for example. On Friday, March 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., they can participate in the Treasure Hunt game – various tasks and questions will be prepared around the zoo grounds, and rewards will be prepared for solving them.

On the weekend, the zoo organizes various excursions with guides, and on Easter Monday, visitors can look forward to meeting different types of animals, including feeding with Easter elements. Those interested can find more information on the garden’s website.

On Easter, Prague monuments managed by the city organization Prague City Tourism will also be open. People can visit, for example, the Malostranské Bridge Towers, the St. Nicholas Town Bell Tower, the Astronomical Tower, the Klementine Baroque Library or the chapel of the Old Town Hall.

According to PCT spokeswoman Klára Janderová, the opening hours of monuments will be extended, for example, people can visit the Prague towers from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. People can find the opening hours of the facilities on the PCT website. According to Janderová, the Novomlýn Water Tower, which was closed to the public during the winter, will also be open.

People can also celebrate Easter at the Public Transport Museum, where on Friday, March 29, visitors will be able to knit a pom-pom or decorate Easter eggs or make other Easter decorations. During the Easter holidays, the Prague Botanic Garden and the Fata Morgana greenhouse will be open as usual, i.e. from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
