“Beware of strong winds,” warned meteorologists. A strong southeast to south wind is expected to blow until today, Wednesday evening, with gusts of 55 to 70 kilometers per hour in places. Originally, the warning also applied to Ústí, but after noon it only applies to the northernmost areas of our territory.

Here there is still a risk of damage to trees and forest stands, minor damage to buildings is also possible. Risk of injury from loose objects and broken branches, possible complications in transport. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute recommends securing windows and doors, removing or fixing loose objects, securing greenhouses and more. It also recommends taking extra care when moving outdoors and driving vehicles, limiting hikes in the mountains and not venturing into ridge areas in particular.
