A total of twelve night trains will be delayed, České dráhy informed. The carrier advises that it will try to reduce the resulting delay, for example by shortening the stay of the trains in the stations. At the Bohumín and Břeclav stations, however, the transition of cars between individual night trains is to be maintained, and thus all direct night connections will be ensured.

The delay will affect long-distance trains EN 406 Chopin München – Warszawa, EN 407 Chopin Warszawa – München, EN 442 Slovakia Michalovce – Prague, EN 443 Slovakia Prague – Michalovce, NJ 456 Graz – Berlin, NJ 457 Berlin – Graz, EC 458 Canopus Prague – Zürich, EC 459 Canopus Zürich – Prague, EN 477 Metropol Břeclav – Budapest and IC 579 Brněnský drak Prague – Brno.

Due to the transition to summer time, Czech Railways must also introduce special measures for the circulation of cars, locomotives and personnel. The aim is to prevent the subsequent delay of other trains during the day. In order not to transfer delays from night trains to other daytime connections, morning connections generally will not wait for delayed night trains.

Regional trains will not be affected by the time change in any way, as they all start on their route only after the switch to summer time.

The time change will take place on the last Sunday of March, which this year fell on the last day of March. At night, the big hand jumps at 2:00 straight to 3:00, making the day one hour shorter.
