/PHOTO, VIDEO/ Children in Most will get a new attraction where they can have fun and at the same time get to know physics in practice. The city announced a public contract for the production, assembly and construction of a water playground. It will be on the sandy beach at the recreational lake Benedikt, where it will occupy an area of over one hundred square meters.

The water supply will be provided by a pipeline connected to the lake. “Water will be pumped from the shaft using two hand pumps to the individual parts,” the contract documentation states. The playground will have a system of troughs, a pond, an Archimedes screw, a mill, sluice gates, pumps and a river. The water flows back into the lake. The equipment will be made of wood, stainless steel, stone and concrete. The playground will be intended for children between the ages of two and 14. Everything will be explained by the information board and the operating rules.
Companies can submit offers until April 3. The tenderer with the lowest price will win the contract. The work should start in the spring and last less than two months.
She designed the water playground at Benedikt in 2023 with a participatory budget Hebni Mostem mother Adéla Paterová Klímová. Her idea came in 2nd place and received 964 votes from the public. At that time, the price of the work was estimated at 1.2 million crowns. “In the future, it is possible to gradually expand the playground with other elements. This way, the playground will not become ordinary, and children will be able to try out new options and elements,” the author said in her written proposal. According to her, children will be able to develop logical reasoning, imagination, see how some physical laws and dams work.

It will not be the only new playground in Most. At the skatepark in Šibenik, it will be created this year multifunctional field for ball sports. The fenced area with an area of 40 x 20 meters is expected to cost approximately seven million crowns. For its construction, the city will try to get a subsidy from the Just Transformation Operational Program. They could receive over five million crowns. “We have money for the playground in the budget, so we will build it even if we don’t get the subsidy,” said Mayor Marek Hrvol. The playground will be locked overnight like the neighboring skatepark.
Football players from FK Baník Most-Souš will also be waiting. The plan is to reconstruct the training ground with an artificial surface in Zdeňka Fibicha Street. The city will announce a public contract with an estimated value of around 13 million crowns.
