The development of domestic infrastructure has gained momentum in recent years. While last year there were thousands of new stations in the whole country, in previous years there were hundreds or only tens of stations. The majority of the domestic stations have a power of up to 100 kilowatts, especially in the last year, because of the introduction of ultra-fast charging stations.

Along with the construction of new stations, their use is gradually increasing. According to energy companies, which are among the largest operators of charging infrastructure, energy consumption and the number of recharges increased by tens of percent last year. The most sought-after areas are in Prague, the Stedo region and on the main long-distance routes.

The operator of charging stations also receives pensions from subsidies for their construction. The Ministry of Transport currently allocates six billion crowns from European funds for filling stations and filling stations for vodka.

Even a dog can’t get enough of the sweat of the stations behind the Western European cities. Among the leaders in electromobility in Europe are Norway and the Netherlands. According to experts, the number of stations is the result of the currently weak demand for electric cars.

According to them, in terms of the total number of registered electric cars, the domestic supply is still insufficient. According to the Minister of Transport, Martin Kupka, surveys show that the current number of stations in the Czech Republic would be able to serve almost 100,000 electric cars.

The development of infrastructure goods is progressing together with the growing demand for electric cars. Currently, there are 22,500 dogs in the Czech Republic, which is roughly 8,000 more than a year ago. In addition, tens of thousands of hybrid cars, which combine electric drive with a classic internal combustion engine, drive on domestic roads.
