If it weren’t for a traffic accident, a foreigner would boldly drive around Teplice with a forged driver’s license. The police patrol did not find him during any of the checks. He was just lucky. But until he was involved in an accident.

He got into an accident and had to lay his cards on the table. One of them was a forged document regarding the authorization to drive cars. As it turned out, he practically had nothing to do behind the wheel.
The Teplice police reported on the case on Tuesday, April 2. “A 29-year-old foreigner living in Teplice was charged with the crime of forgery and alteration of a public document. “During the inspection as part of the investigation of the traffic accident, the driver presented a document as his own driver’s license, which was, however, forged. The police found out that the man did not hold any driver’s license and used a forged document as a real one. For this action, he faces up to three years in prison,” police spokeswoman Ilona Gazdošová said.
