Movement! Korben Dallas have released a new album and are heading to Prague’s Rock Café
“Our group is like a bicycle – it works when we are in motion,” says singer and guitarist Juraj Benetin about the philosophy of the band Korben Dallas, which on February 22 already released itsj devand you studiosý album called Motion!
The recording comes exactly two years after the album Deti ryb and only a few months after the LP Nekonečné, which charted their many years of collaboration with Aneta Langerová. The album is available on all streaming services. “On any other album of ours, you won’t find so many songs that make you move,” says bassist and lyricist Lukáš Fila. “And we are also moving as a group – this time we were all much more involved in the creation of music and lyrics, we have the first song not sung by Juro, and finally it is also the first album in which Ľuboslav Petruška did not take part.”
The album was produced by Le Payaco frontman Tomáš Svoboda, with whom Korben Dallas has been working since 2021. “It’s a live album without post-production edits. On it, the boys fully showed their excellent musicianship. That’s why we recorded the album on tape. It would be a shame not to capture the band’s authentic sound in the highest quality,” says Svoboda. “This album is different in that it is sonically very rich, even though only a few instruments are used in the songs,” says Svoboda.
The group recorded all twelve songs in the course of 2023 in the Birdland studio in Považská Teplá, the sound master was Miloš Rojko Jr. The first single from the album was the song Vyčítáš, for which Braňo Špaček shot a music video.
Korben Dallas: You blame
With the new album, Korben Dallas is also going on tour, Prague will also be among the stops. This Slovak trio will visit our capital already on Friday, April 5, when they will perform right in the heart of the Czech capital – at the Rock Café on Národní třída.
