The Eiffel Tower in the Czech Republic? As part of the Olympics, the Most lake will be decorated

Behind the idea is the Czech Olympic Committee, which is organizing the Olympic Festival for the sixth time, during which people will not only be able to try out over 50 sports, but also see a copy of the Eiffel Tower.

A 14-meter replica is already being created in 3D printers in Horní Počernice. “The whole process will take almost three months and it will be necessary to manufacture and assemble approximately 1,500 pieces of printed components,” explains Honza Hřebabecký, CEO and founder of the company 3DDen, which is in charge of the tower’s production.

For its creation, recycled material from plastic waste fished out of the ocean called oPET is used. The Czech company is the first in the world to use it in 3D printing.

At the Olympic Festival, people will be able to soak up the atmosphere of Paris. “We are looking forward to cheering on the Czech athletes together, because after a long time the Olympic Games will be in the same time zone. For the first time, we will also have an Olympic camp for fans, and we believe that visitors will enjoy not only the whole day at the Olympic Festival, but also falling asleep near our version of the Eiffel Tower. It will be our Bridge to Paris,” said Naďa Černá, project director of the Czech Olympic Committee.
