Two men wanted free fish and went to the Stodůlecký pond in Prague 13 with fishing rods, pastries and beer. When the police came to check on them, one of them ran away, but did not get far. He ended up in handcuffs and lost the caught carp.
The men went to the pond in Stodůlky on April 1 after three in the afternoon. They took fishing rods, bread and beer and started fishing. But a passerby noticed them and reported everything to line 156.
“When the officers arrived at the scene, both men were sitting on a bench, drinking beer and looking nonchalant. The first person approached initially claimed to the police that he knew nothing about it, but then he admitted that it was a mistake and promised that he would never do it again.” described on Facebook a spokeswoman for the Prague police Irena Seifertová.
The other one watched everything from a distance and when the officers approached him, he ran away. “This began an approximately 500-metre pursuit, complete with winding between houses and calls to stop, which ended with law enforcement and the handcuffing of the apprehended runner,” Seifert said.
Even the refugee finally admitted his mistake and promised not to do it again. He lost the carp he had hidden in a plastic bag, cleaned up the mess around the bench and was released.
“The whole case will be further dealt with by the competent administrative authority,” Seifert added.
