From Thursday, April 25 to Sunday, April 28, the international flower and horticultural exhibition Flora Olomouc 2024 will be held in the area of the Flora Olomouc Exhibition Center. An increased number of passing vehicles will again be noted in the vicinity of the exhibition center and adjacent streets. In order to maintain the safety and smoothness of road traffic, it is necessary for drivers to respect traffic signs, the instructions of police officers and organizers.
Parking areas for vehicles are available for visitors. A parking area with a capacity of approximately 1,000 spaces will be available in the premises of the Šantovka shopping center, where visitors to the exhibition will have free parking. There will also be a parking lot at the so-called old bus station near the Flora exhibition center (this is a paid parking lot in the paid parking zone). Parking will be reserved for buses on Holická Street (behind the former headquarters of the Transport Inspectorate of the Police of the Czech Republic). Due to the limited number of parking spaces, we recommend that visitors, if possible, go to the exhibition grounds on foot or use public transport, which will be reinforced on selected routes during the exhibition.
The organizers of the event will use a guidance system, including the placement of directional arrows that will direct visitors to designated parking lots. More information about parking options and the exhibition itself can be found on the Flora Olomouc Exhibition Center website.
As part of preventive measures, we appeal to visitors to pay extra attention to personal belongings, luggage and vehicle security. It is pickpockets who look for places where a large number of people move. They take advantage of people’s inattention and their careless handling of their personal belongings.
Preventive advice:
pay attention to your surroundings and if someone is pushing you, try to move away immediately,
do not carry bags or backpacks where you have money or other valuables on your back where you cannot see,
if you carry money, a payment card, etc. outside your luggage, put them in the inside pockets of your clothes, not in the back pockets of your trousers,
do not leave personal belongings and valuables (jackets, backpacks, handbags, electronics) visibly stored in the vehicle,
before leaving the vehicle, check that you have locked it.
