The weekend program in Pilsen offers a number of well-attended events. Day in the Air takes place in Plasy, the Pilsen Region Half Marathon will be run, it will be possible to go to Depo on Treffpunkt for good Pilsen and Bavarian beer, wine lovers will head to the center of Pilsen for the spring wine festival, and those who like to bite into a burger will probably not miss the three-day Burger Street Festival in Prazdroj.

The largest air show in the west of Bohemia will offer breathtaking experiences

Why come: Acrobatics of the unique Bo – 105 helicopter, which defies the laws of physics, the American North American P-51D fighter jet, the legendary French training aircraft Fouga CM 170 Magister, the acrobatic show of Martin Šonka or the already traditional flyover of Jas -39 Gripen army aircraft. This is just a fraction of what the largest air show west of Prague will offer Day in the Air. This year, it will take place at the airport in Plasy on April 27 and 28, the accompanying program will start at 10 a.m. on both days, and the aerial demonstrations at 1:15 p.m.

The Pilsen Region Half Marathon will be run by the dam

Why come: For the ninth time, one of the region’s biggest sports events – the Pilsen Region Half Marathon – will start on Saturday. The starting point will traditionally be in the Škodaland area in Pilsen, the demanding half-marathon course leads from the Škodaland area via Litice, Šlovice, Dobřany and Lhota back to the České údolí water reservoir. For those who have not trained enough for the full length of the half marathon, the organizers have prepared shorter courses – Regional ten, Regional five, Team run and DAIKIN children’s runs. Children’s runs remain free this year as well, tracks from 100 to 800 meters are prepared. The Pilsen Region Half Marathon also offers a rich accompanying program. All fans of running can enjoy great entertainment and rich refreshments at the Škodaland complex in Pilsen. The organizers of the event have prepared a performance for the visitors from 11 a.m. by the popular Pilsen band Semtex.

The tenth Treffpunkt takes place at the Depot

Why come: The Treffpunkt festival takes place in the Pilsen area of ​​DEPO2015 this weekend, this year the tenth traditional Bavarian-Czech meeting with stylish music, good wheat beer and Pilsen beer and tasty food. On Friday evening and all day on Saturday, visitors will have a good time with Czech and Bavarian bands and a prepared accompanying program. Due to the great interest of visitors, compared to last year, the festival will be expanded into more spaces, more bars and seating will be added, and a gastro zone will be created with service offering specialties of Bavarian as well as Czech cuisine.

Why come: Hamburger lovers can go to the courtyard of Plzeňské Prazdroj, where another Burger Street Festival will be held from Friday 10 a.m. until Sunday evening. Winemakers will have a paradise in the center of Pilsen

Why come: There is no shortage of good wine in Pilsen either, you will be able to see for yourself at the largest wine event in the region – the Pilsen Wine Festival, which will take place right in the historical center in Kopecky Sady and Bedřich Smetana Street. More than twenty wineries from Bohemia and Moravia will be presented at the festival. Wine tasting will again only be possible from a festival glass, which you can buy on the spot for 120 crowns. There will also be a varied food zone and a music program.

The pilgrimage ends at St. George

Protheus and Komunál will play in Šeříkovec

As further evidence of their connection, the bands are releasing a joint single, Múzy, for which they shot a narrative clip together with almost five hundred of their fans.

Singer Běňačková will say goodbye in Pilsen

Why come: She sang on important opera stages abroad, at the National Theater in Prague, her partner on stage was, for example, the famous Plácido Domingo, she won the Thalia Award, and in 1994 she was also nominated for the Grammy Award. But now, one of the most renowned sopranos in the world, Gabriela Beňačková, is saying goodbye to her singing career and will also perform in Pilsen during one of her concerts. She will be accompanied on stage on April 28 in Měšťanská beseda by tenor Jakub Pustina, who is her student and with whom she has been performing for about ten years.

Paper Saturday will be in Blovice
