The court accused two suspects of the massacre near Moscow of terrorism, they face life imprisonment

So far, the court has imposed custody on both of them for a period of at least two months or until the trial takes place.

Russian security forces announced on Saturday that they had caught the perpetrators of the attack. In total, they reported the arrest of 11 people, including four attackers. Moscow indicated their connection with neighboring Ukraine, but the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) has repeatedly claimed responsibility for the attack. Kyiv strongly denied any involvement.

A court in Moscow is to decide whether to remand the suspect. One of them was brought into the courtroom blindfolded. His armband was removed by security so his monocle could be seen, the AP reported. The court building was surrounded by crowds of policemen, there are strict security measures in place.

According to one of the Russian MPs, Tajik passports were found in the car in which the suspects were fleeing from Moscow. Russian media published footage of one of the detainees answering questions in Tajik.

People in Russia are holding national mourning on Sunday in memory of the victims of Friday’s terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall. Hundreds of people came to the site to honor the memory of the slain visitors. According to updated data from the Moscow authorities, there are 182 injured after the attack, of which 121 are in hospital and 61 are being treated on an outpatient basis.
