The oldest professional player and scorer in the history of hockey, Jaromír Jágr, indicated in an interview with CNN Prima News after the tie for the extra league between Kladno and Vsetín that he has concrete plans for his future.

“We’ll see how the playoff goes, but if it goes well and we stay in the extra league, we have a plan to film my last season,” Jágr said on Showtime.

Since the Kladno Knights managed to stay in the extra league, Jágr plans to stay in good shape for his last season in his professional career. “I would like to try to prepare physically as best as possible. I keep saying I’ll get ready, then I never get ready. But I would really like to prepare professionally for the last season,” said Jágr.

The playing owner of the club told journalists that the fight with the winner of the first league was existential for the Knights, and he attributed the greatest credit for the success to goalkeeper Adam Brízgal, reports CNN Prima News.

In the interview, Jágr also confirmed that he has been writing a book for ten years and is also shooting a film with Petr Větrovský. “Peter and I started filming four years ago, so I made it a little more expensive for him,” CNN Prima News quotes Jagr as referring to his ever-lengthening career. He plans to continue filming even in his now probably last season.
