Smartphones are our daily companion, with which some spend even hours a day. We use them both for personal purposes and for work. Due to the amount of time we spend using them, whether we like it or not, they process and store a lot of sensitive data.
Login data, passwords or payment card numbers are among the most vulnerable. Although most users today already know that it is not wise to hide passwords, PINs and sensitive data in a traditional wallet or write on a note on a monitor, they do not know so much about saving in electronic form.
The main rule is never store passwords where they are publicly accessible in readable form or even shared. So forget about saving data in e-mails, notes or even using photos in the gallery, which can often be synchronized with the cloud. A text file stored in cloud storage is also very easy to exploit.
Mostly encrypted
So how to store passwords and data securely? The answer is simple – encrypted in a secure storage. In an extreme case, you can imagine a memory card under it, for example, which you remove from your phone and keep (lock) in a safe place. However, we will not venture into extreme options and prefer to stay with more comfortable solutions.
