Bethesda has already delivered the promised update for Fallout 4, but it seems that there is still a lot of work to be done.
- Some PS Plus subscribers didn’t get the update for Fallout 4
- On consoles Xbox Series quality mode doesn’t work again
- Problems also occur on PC
The long-awaited next-gen update for Fallout 4 has finally arrived. However, players encounter significant flaws that make the gaming experience very unpleasant, others did not even get the update.
For Xbox Series consoles, this is an error in quality mode. This is because the game prefers a higher framerate even in this setting, which should apply to the performance mode. The fact was also confirmed by Thomas Morgan from Digital Foundry, who specializes in analyzing the performance of specific games. It is not yet clear when the error will be fixed.
Players on PlayStation 5 consoles are in a worse position, who counted on an update to the version purchased as part of the now-defunct PS Plus Collection or the basic offer of this subscription service. They discovered that the option of a free update probably does not apply to them.
Bethesda subsequently confirmed that the update would be available as part of the more expensive version of PS Plus Extra, adding that it had no information regarding the aforementioned versions.
And the problems seem to appear on PC as well. Players point to negligible changes in graphics, even the claimed support for ultra-wide monitors is not flawless. The developers will obviously still have their hands full.
