Failure to give the right of way was the reason for the traffic accident that happened on Thursday afternoon in the village of Kaple in Prostějovsk. A young driver coming from Velké Kosíř hit a passing car at the intersection.

On Thursday afternoon, a 22-year-old woman drove a Peugeot car along a side road in the direction from Čelechovice to Hané.

“In the village of Kaple, she drove into the intersection at the moment when an Opel car was driving along the main road in the direction of Slatinek, to which she should have given way. A collision followed, in which a young passenger from the Peugeot was injured. After treatment on the spot, the paramedics took her by ambulance to the hospital for further examination,” police spokeswoman Miluše Zajícová described the accident.

The other participants in the accident were not injured. “The consumption of alcohol by the drivers was ruled out by a breath test. The material damage was preliminarily estimated at 120,000 crowns,” the police spokeswoman added.
