The journey of both teams began only in the main part of the tournament, namely in the elimination group. NAVI players reached for an easy passage through the group, when they had a promising score of 2:0, but two losses followed. In the decisive match, they coped with the Brazilian team paiN and made it to the playoffs. Certainly not as the biggest favourites.

FAZE Clan went 1-2 after the first two days, losing to Denmark’s Heroic and Turkey’s Eternal Fire, and winning over the Brazilians from FURIA. Subsequently, he defeated another Brazilian team, Imperial, and also dealt with the American team, Complexity. With a score of 3:2, he was also not among the main favorites for the triumph.

In the quarterfinals, the NAVI team encountered Eternalal Fire, which they managed 2:0. FAZE ran into a recent favorite and phenomenon, the young Russian team Spirit with rising star Danil “donk” Kryškovec. FAZE won 2:1, but Spirit definitely didn’t give their skin for free, because it was prolonged on two maps.

In the semi-finals, it was a battle of giants. FAZE challenged Vitality and NAVI for a G2 change. FAZE won 2:1. The NAVI players had a bit more problems, they had to play one overtime and the match was quite balanced, but in the end they won 2:1.

The finals started with the FAZE team’s map pick, namely Ancient, which, however, dominated the NAVI team 13:9. For a change, FAZE clearly dominated 13:2 on the NAVI Miragi pick map. Inferno was chosen as the decider, where the NAVI line-up dominated again, winning 13:3, thus becoming champions.

Frozen tried to lead his team to the dream Major and thus become the first Slovak to lift this trophy, but it was not enough for the Lithuanian-Ukrainian duo jL and b1ta.

The Czech representatives did not make it to Copenhagen. Their hopes were dashed in the qualifiers. The Sinners organization from Liberec did not make it either, which ended up in the so-called closed qualification due to a relatively difficult draw.
