The WHO study was carried out in 2021 and 2022, and asked approximately 280,000 children aged 11, 13 and 15 from 44 countries around the world. In addition to experiences with alcohol, the researchers asked about tab products, according to the British portal The Guardian.

The spread of harmful substances among children in European countries represents a serious threat to public health. The human brain develops even after twenty years of age. We should protect adolescents from the effects and effects of toxic and other dangerous products. Unfortunately, even today, children are still exposed to targeted online marketing, says WHO regional editor for Europe Hans Kluge.

According to the analysis, young women, who eat and drink more than boys, have experience with addictive substances. Electronic cigarettes are very popular among young Britons, even more so than in France and Germany. Roughly 30 percent of British girls and 17 percent of boys under 15 years of age confirmed their experience with vape racing in the last ten days.

We observe a high rate of smoking and alcohol consumption. I really don’t know now, but for England in this respect she has outdone all the other hundreds. However, it is a problem that we have to face and solve, comments Jo Inchleyov, who applied to the University of Glasgow. In all European countries, Great Britain is followed by Bulgaria, Moldova, immediately after it is Czechia, followed by Romania, Hungary and Armenia.

The results of the study also worried the experts. If my two children drink, there is a high probability that he will develop problems with alcohol later in life, confirms expert Katherine Severiov.

The British government is interfering

In the coming days, the British government also wants to study. A few weeks ago, the politicians there said that the Germans are making an island-wide effort to reduce the number of births among young people. That is why in the country recently there is talk of the complete destruction of e-cigarettes for one use. Britt ministers are also trying to reduce the attractiveness of vaping among children by limiting sweet and fruity flavors, introducing austere packaging and increasing the visibility of this product in stores.

It is expected that the changes will enter into force at the end of this year and expire in 2025. One of the draft laws would, among other things, make it so that people under the age of 18 would not be able to buy cigarettes in Great Britain from 2027. That is, people who were born before 2009.

The health recommendations are clear: smoking, vaping and drinking alcohol by minors can be harmful to the development of young people. That is also why we have a fixed age limit for the long term. As a government, we will create the first non-Chinese generation in the United Kingdom, the British government spokeswoman concluded for The Guardian.
