After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Carlsberg company began to seek the sale of its Russian Baltika division and announced last July that it had found a buyer. In April, however, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the seizure of Carlsberg in Baltica.

Carlsberg is currently the largest beer producer in the world. Psob, for example, in the Czech Republic, where in 2014 he bought a fifty-one percent stake in the Atek brewery.
